The Summer Solstice is the the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and considered the first day of Summer. It marks the day when the Sun is at its highest point in the sky and is truly a celebration of not only the Sun but the Light. During the Summer Solstice we are encouraged to reflect upon relationships with others and within the self. What are your long term goals? What does your heart yearn for? This is the time to cultivate your seeds, nurturing all that you are now planting with an open heart. Remember that with the Solstice comes a turning of the Wheel and we are now slowly making our way towards the the darkness- each day growing closer to our deepest selves- Embrace change and walk in faith.
During the Summer Solstice, we welcome the onset of Cancer Season. Cancer is a deep, emotional, nurturing sign, but during this transit- things can get overly emotional or moody. Cancer is an intaking sign and is connected to the 4th House of Home and Family. Ties to the past, our loved ones and our desire to nurture others will come into play. This is a time of heightened emotional sensitivity- when we can rebalance our heart and head after the expanding mental capacity of Gemini. Cancer will ask us to dive into our vulnerabilities and look to where the past may be keeping us stuck in a loop. Nurturing activities like gardening or cooking are great ways to deepen the connection with Mother energy.
On this same day- Jupiter turns Retrograde. The energy of Jupiter Retrograde lasts typically about four months. Jupiter is he planet of expansion, luck and joy. It also represents abundance, travel and philosophy. With Jupiter in retrograde, we are asked to dive deeply into philosophical and spiritual introspection. Jupiter travels through two signs during this retrograde, Pisces and Aquarius. Pisces energy could leave us feeling dazed and confused- perhaps overall optimistic about situations that are not what they seem. Once Jupiter transits back into Aquarius, additional details will bring clarity; however this clarity may not be what we hoped for- it is important to remember to ask what the lesson is- instead of getting stuck in emotional entanglements.
Eclipse season is a very karmic period: during this time of the year, we experience fated events and situations that have the purpose of speeding up our evolutionary pace and help us move forward in our growth journey. Sometimes, the process is uncomfortable and we don’t understand it fully while we are deep into it. With time, we develop more objectivity: looking back, everything gets clearer.
Solar Eclipses are supercharged New Moons that mark potent new beginnings and invite us to set clear intentions around what we desire to cultivate and focus on.
The Solar Eclipse in Gemini is happening on the North Node of the Moon and invites us to welcome the future- opening a new chapter- new paths and learning opportunities.
Sun and Moon are conjunct Mercury (the planetary ruler of Gemini) and Mercury remains square to Neptune in Pisces. The tense alignments to Neptune will continue to make it difficult to see the big picture with clarity. With the Sun and Moon squaring Neptune- our emotional sensitivity will be amplified- however discernment is critical- focus on maintaining energetic boundaries and maintaining an objective perception.
With Mercury squaring Neptune- a transit that can lead to distorted thinking and confused communications coupled with Mars opposite Pluto- this is not a time to engage and whenever possible, regroup instead of heading into battle.
You may not see the full picture. If you feel threatened, try to step back and see the bigger picture- you may be not seeing clearly.
If war is unavoidable- maintain your high moral ground and enlist the help of likeminded people.
Clarity will return once these transits complete- keep strong boundaries and try to ride out the wave.
Venus in Cancer can sometimes feel like an exposed nerve, the soft underbelly- tender and vulnerable.
Feelings of devotion run deeply, but can result in triggered feelings and taking things too personally. This is a time to focus inwards- to listen to your heart and intuition- to connect with the vulnerable inner child.
There will be more than enough time to be outwardly expressive when Venus enters Leo- so just for now, take the time to turn your healing light within.
Full Moon in Libra asks us to reevaluate relationship dynamics and how some ties bind us to the past in ways that may be keeping parts of us stuck in the energy of that dynamic trauma.
These relationship dynamics can engage entire families. Each person caught in the net of these traumas are tied into the knot of energy. Repeating generational patterns ensures that not only will we be tied into this trauma knot but out descendants may be as well.
To release the ties, to unravel the knot, we must first accept that part of our energy is tied up in it. Past the shame and guilt lies clarity. It is difficult to separate the vibration of this knot (and the further back in the ancestral line it goes- the stronger the vibration will resonate) from the present self, however once you are able to gain space from it, truth about how it was formed will begin to come to light. As light shines upon the knot we begin to understand each turn and tighten of the thread, we begin to see the choices, the pain, the situations and misunderstandings that created it.
Forgiving the self is powerful, and through this forgiveness lies a path to greater understanding, compassion and finally healing. As you heal, you heal the family line. As you untie the knots you free the energy- allowing it to go back home to the soul in which it belongs.
Our imagination is the doorway to the third eye- to clear sight. The 3rd eye allows us to see beyond humanness- to call upon the Great Creator and see/hear/feel the response that comes back to us. Mindfulness is the key to the door. Practicing being here- without judgment, without fear… see the door, open it and allow what comes through space to unfold.
Intuitive hypnotherapy, Reiki & a Mindfulness self care routine can assist you in peeling back the layers of the past… your journey is yours alone…
Use the power of this Full Moon to illuminate your path to greater acceptance and forgiveness. Commit to the ongoing healing of your deepest self; free the slivers of soul trapped in your ancestral knots and traumas.
A new day is dawning, the light awakens within us.
